Founded in 1986, Creative Workshop began as a neighborhood sign shop in Gainesville, known for its craftsmanship and practical services—from plaques, and passport photos, to flags, and framing. In 2018, Alani Ilori, on her way to apply for a job at a coffee shop, walked into CW instead and asked if they were hiring. That quiet decision set a transformation in motion. Today, Alani carries the legacy forward while building out a creative agency that’s nimble, bold, and entirely her own.
Alani didn’t come from marketing—she chose advertising because she was captivated by the why behind great creative. How does a product become a brand? How does a brand become a feeling? She stepped into Creative Workshop with no formal training, filling the role of a 20-year veteran and learning hands-on. Her mentor’s first lesson—“If it’s flawed, start over”—became a core value she still carries into every project.
Under her leadership, Creative Workshop evolved into a full-service creative studio. Visual sketch sessions helped streamline communication and bring ideas to life faster. Then came the pop-up print shop: a literal, mobile setup that let the team create live, custom work at events. Clients were drawn to the immediacy—and to Alani’s signature approach: “Let me be your hands.”
To Alani, art is self-expression, and design is functional beauty. Creative Workshop values creative labor and delivers work that’s personal, emotional, and smart. Whether it’s building a brand or activating a booth, CW brings ideas into the real world—with imagination, clarity, and care.
“You didn’t choose your avatar, but you get to decide what world you create. At Creative Workshop, we bring your vision to life—bold, imaginative, and real.”
